Three Facts from this episode:

2. Garden Island is the site of Australia’s longest-settled infrastructure.
3. In 1856 the Colonial Secretary at the time, wrote to the British Government suggesting Garden Island be used as a navy base. This was then approved by the British Government in 1859.
